Welcome to Our Midget Players
A very special welcome to all players especially those registering with the Club for the very first time. Our club grounds nestled under the slopes of One Tree Hill are arguably the most beautiful cricketing setting in the country. Thank you Parents and Caregivers for affording the children the opportunity of playing at our Club. We have the largest kids membership of any New Zealand club. The cost for midget registration is $120 for the season which also includes an end of season photo. More imporatntly, we pride ourselves on offering the best cricket experience.
Junior cricket at Cornwall is an opportunity for youngsters to play in an organised and, particularly in the case of the years 1,2,3 and 4 Midget grades, non-competitive sporting environment.
The children will usually decide very early whether or not they like cricket. For this reason it is important the emphasis be placed on the enjoyment of the game, rather than winning. Our Statement of Purpose emphasises FUN as our key objective. A positive (non-critical) approach from parents and coaches is critical. Positive encouragement goes a long way to making the season a success for children and parents alike ... more info for new members

Year 1 - 4 Milo Skills Programme (Have-a-go and Kiwi Cricket)
Cornwall run these skill sessions at no cost in addition to normal team practises. We can't emphasise strongly enough the importance of our youngsters learning the fundamental skills. These skills sessions are fun and provide activity and opportunities for skill development. They are important requisites to enable our kids to fall in love with the game of cricket and hopefully stay in the game for life.
