Midget coaches doubling as ace sports reporters? You better believe it! we've already got some cracking match reports from some of our Midget coaches covering the opening Saturday games. We need to also hear from the rest of you. Tell us about your Player of the Day, who is showing exceptional form etc... let's give the little guys some coverage here.
ASK your convenor if you are unsure how to post a match report.
The idea is that each team has a match reporter (often the coach or manager but also often a keen parent who puts their hand up). They publish a match report up onto the site EACH WEEK following the Saturday match. Some coaches/teams will simply post the score, who and where they played and their player of the day. This is absolutely fine. It provides valuable information for your Grade Convenor and the Junior Committee in monitoring how our various Year Grade teams are faring. Other 'Match Reporters' are closet sports journalists and will write more - but its all good stuff and the families, kids and grandparents love it.
You can write funny stuff, you can basically write what you like in the match report field. We just ask that you be mindful of your audience and always respectfuil of the oppostion team. The CCMATCH! input screen requires you to enter the score, the team played, the pitch number and who was the player of the day. This is the 'nuts and bolts' stuff you key prior to launching into your match report proper.
We want all our teams to get into the habit of posting up their result each and every week during the season. Its quick and easy. It provides a one stop shop for all the info you need on how the Grade teams are performing.
