The junior section of the club ranges from school year 1 (age 5) to Under 18 level. School years 1 to 4 are known as 'midgets'.
Kids playing in year 5 start to use a hard cricket ball for the first time and so need to use protective equipment for the first time.
There are 'welcome to hardball courses held at the start of each season.
Each team has a coach. We would love our rep coaches at Year 4 and ALL our coaches from Year 5 and up to be Level 1 qualified. It is a brilliant course but don't simply take it from me...talk to anyone who has completed Level 1. Email cornwall@xtra.co.nz for info on upcoming courses.
