Cornwall Junior cricket strongly urges all coaches and interested parents to join the Association. Coaches require information, news and constant re-education. Issues such as new practise drills, sports science information, safety issues etc..have all become crucial elements for the modern coach. Our game is changing in terms of formats, tactics and techniques - we all need to keep up to date.

We would suggest that those of you who have not yet undertaken a Level One training course please consider doing so, the course is both interesting and offers significant assistance to coaches. Team coaches working with Yr4 to Yr8 players are ideally placed if they have undertaken the Level 1 training and those coaching. U15 and U18 coaches should also consider the challenge of undertaking Level 2 training.

Courses are typically (though not always) held at the Indoor School, Eden Park. They run from 6.00pm to 9.30pm each night. Remember the Club reimburses all CCC attendees the course fee upon attaining the Level 1 certificated qualification. All applications for reimbursement will need to be directed via the Junior Committee. We have to sight the Level 1 certificate before we authorise the club to reimburse the $60. That means that not only do you have to had attended the course, you also have to complete the 50 hours coaching requirement prior to certification. You will need to record the coaching hours in a notebook which is then sighted by the ACA. You will run up the 50 hours in no time(includes actual coaching sessions, match days etc..).
